Rooted in my grandfather's Nishijin-ori weaving workshop in Kyoto, I create contemporary artworks using traditional Kyoto textiles.
By combining these textiles with acrylic painting, I connect Kyoto's textile tradition with contemporary expression.
Each piece is one of a kind, illuminated by the beauty of gold threads and created to carry this tradition into the future.
祖父が京都で営んでいた西陣織の機屋を原点に、京都の伝統織物を素材として現代アートを制作しています。
伝統素材とアクリル絵具を組み合わせ、京都の織物文化を現代の表現へとつないでいます。
一つひとつの作品には金糸の美しい輝きが息づき、伝統を未来へ受け継ぐ想いを込めています。
Exhibited internationally in New York, Dubai, France, and Tokyo.
Exhibited at Perseus Gallery in New York and participated in the Salon d'Automne.
In collaboration with Empório Aragão, apparel inspired by my artwork was presented in Cannes.
